Workshops for Healthcare and NHS professionals

Did you know a child acquires a brain injury every 30 minutes in the UK? That equates to approximately 20,000 children across the UK every year.  89% of children with an acquired brain injury may have no physical signs of disability at the point of discharge from hospital.

However, children with an acquired brain injury often have very subtle yet complex support needs that may change over time - often these immediate and future needs are overlooked.

For many children the quality of their ongoing support is imperative to their rehabilitation, and their special support needs can be overlooked after discharge from hospital.

CBIT's training on childhood acquired brain injury aims to fill this gap in knowledge and enable you to better work alongside other extended services professionals, by providing them with -

"Effective support before the wheels fall off"

Thus ensuring a holistic approach to the child's social, clinical and educational needs.
