Company Challenge 2010
Company Challenge 2010
The Child Brain Injury Trust receives just 5% of the funding we need to run our vital services from the Government. That means we have to raise almost half a million pounds each year to help families in crisis when a child's brain is suddenly injured. At the very heart of our work are the children and young people affected by a brain injury and their family. The services and support we provide have one goal - to improve the quality of life for anyone affected by childhood acquired brain injury and you can help us to achieve this goal.
We need the support of you and your company now more than ever to help us raise the funds we need to provide a lifeline to anyone affected by childhood acquired brain injury.
- At the beginning of the partnership, our team will visit your workplace and speak to your staff and tell them more about the work that the charity does.
- You will receive support from the Child Brain Injury Trust team to work on a calendar of fundraising events across the year. These events could be as formal as a dinner or a golf day to a coffee morning. We will help to make sure that there are events across the year that everyone can be a part of.
- To help promote your activities, we will provide you with marketing materials (posters, balloons, t shirts, etc). Plus, we will provide you with certificates to display in your offices.
- You will receive ongoing invitations to key events across the year including an invitation to our annual fundraising event where you can make a formal cheque presentation in front of all of our supporters.
Taking up the Child Brain Injury Trust Corporate Challenge can help to:
- Meet your Corporate Social Responsibility requirements. Most companies now realise the important role they play within the communities they serve. This can be as simple as making sure you recycle to raising money to support a good cause that is close to your heart and of course, your company values.
- Improve staff morale. It's easy to become disengaged with what your company actually stands for and to focus on the '9 to 5'. Bringing all of your staff together to raise money for a common cause can help people to feel valued and involved. It also helps them to see that their company is not just concerned with profits, it also cares.
- Find networking opportunities. The Child Brain Injury Trust holds many well attended events including an annual conference at the NEC in Birmingham and events for those involved with education, health, social services and law. These events provide the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your business to our supporters.
- Improve the skills of your employees. We have a range of volunteering opportunities that people can become involved with across our offices. Tasks could range from helping out at family events to administration at our Head Office. All of our volunteers undergo an induction programme and we continually work with people to ensure that they get the most from their experience. These new skills can then be utilised back in the workplace.
We need businesses across the country to take up our Corporate Challenge. The charity works across the whole of the UK so it doesn't matter where you are based. We also have local Child&Family Support projects so you could choose to support an area of our work that is near to you.
