Pointing families in the right direction

What is it?
CBIT’s Compass project is a way of putting families in contact with trained parent volunteers.

Why?
Compass offers families the opportunity to receive support and access information from the experts themselves - other families who have maybe found themselves further down the line with a wealth and knowledge and experience to share.

What sort of issues will Compass volunteers be able to give information on?
Our trained parent volunteers will be able to give information, based on their own experiences, on a wide range of issues associated with childhood acquired brain injury including:

  • Services that you are likely to need
  • What may be available locally
  • What to expect

How do I contact a Compass volunteer?
If you would like to speak to one of our trained parent volunteers please contact our Helpline, or write to us at:

Child Brain Injury Trust,
Unit 1 The Great Barn,
Baynards Green Farm,
Nr Bicester
Oxon,
OX27 7SG.

How do I become a Compass volunteer?
If you are interested in becoming a trained parent volunteer please email: carolinemolloy@cbituk.org
